Workshops are designed to provide information about the anatomy, symptoms, causes and management of specific conditions. We aim to give you the knowledge and tools to understand your body better and learn if physiotherapy may benefit you. There is always a question and answer session at the end of the workshop. Punch Passes & Exercise

For client’s who are completing their punch passes or prescribed exercises by their physiotherapist.

Active clients, who have an exercise program from one of our therapists can come to the gym at Nova during office hours and use the exercise equipment! This is for individuals aged 14 and over.

Punch passes cost $60 for 12 sessions. Drop in fee of $10. Punch passes are active for 3 months from purchase date.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Individuals struggling with issues such as incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, pelvic pressure, groin pain, hip pain, or lumbopelvic pain may benefit from a thorough pelvic floor assessment. These conditions can be caused by weak or tight pelvic floor muscles, and pelvic health physiotherapy looks to help restore proper function and alleviate discomfort. Sheridan offers internal and non-internal assessments and treatments.

Vestibular Physiotherapy

Vestibular physiotherapy is a specialized treatment designed to manage and alleviate symptoms related to dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders. It focuses on restoring the function of the vestibular system, which controls balance and spatial orientation.

Common symptoms that may indicate a vestibular issue include: Dizziness or lightheadedness, Vertigo (a spinning sensation), Loss of balance or unsteadiness, Nausea or vomiting related to dizziness, Sensitivity to movement, and Difficulty concentrating or feeling “foggy”

TMJ Physiotherapy

TMJ therapy may benefit you if you are experiencing jaw, neck, face or ear-related symptoms, difficulty in jaw movement, clicking or popping sounds when you move your mouth, and/or frequent headaches. Individuals may experience limited mouth opening, a jaw that shifts to one side, or even the mouth locking in an open position.

Amber performs a comprehensive assessment and treatments involving, pain relief, muscle relaxation, jaw mobilizations and individualized exercises. She works closely with any other health care professionals involved in your care.

Hypermobility Physiotherapy

For individuals with or suspected hypermobility and/or Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), frequent joint dislocations, chronic pain, or muscle fatigue related to excessive joint flexibility Kara provides specialized assessments.

Her approach includes tailored exercises to improve joint stability, enhance muscle strength, and help you achieve your goals, which are different for everyone given the varied ways that connective tissue disorders can manifest for different people. Education is a critical aspect of these session, by helping you understand your condition you are better able to mange it.

Kara understands the complex nature of hypermobility and is committed to providing personalized, effective care and working collaboratively with your health care team to help you lead a more comfortable and active life​.
