Your temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jaw to your skull and is involved in everything from eating and talking to breathing. TMJ dysfunction (TMJD) happens when this joint or the surrounding muscles are not working well together.

- Bruxism: Jaw and teeth grinding or clenching
- Disc issues: Clicking, popping, or locking in your jaw
