Do I need a referral for vestibular physiotherapy?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us. If your physician has referred you, they are welcome to send us a referral.

Will treatment make me feel dizzy?

Some exercises may temporarily bring on mild symptoms as part of the recovery process, but this is done in a controlled and supported way. We’ll guide you through it at a pace that feels manageable.

I’m already quite dizzy, will this make it worse?

Some people feel immediate relief, while others may feel temporarily more dizzy during or after treatment. Every person is different, and there isn’t always an instant fix. The most important first step is a thorough assessment so we can properly understand and treat what’s causing your symptoms.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your symptoms, goals, and what your body needs. No two people are the same, and neither are our treatment plans. We’ll work with you to create an approach that fits you and evolves as you progress.

Can this help with vertigo?

Yes. Vestibular physiotherapy is highly effective for conditions like positional vertigo and other inner ear-related dizziness.

Is there anything I can do at home to help my symptoms?

Yes. Your physiotherapist will guide you through specific exercises and provide practical strategies to help manage symptoms at home and support your progress between sessions.

Can I drive after the appointment?

We strongly recommend having someone drive you to and from your appointment, especially for your initial visit.

What if I’ve had dizziness for a long time?

Even long-standing symptoms may improve. We’ll assess your situation and build a plan that meets you where you’re at.
